OpenShield is a crowdsourced anti-spam platform that enables users to report spam emails, track enforcement actions against spammers, and hold email providers accountable. These Terms of Use govern your use of the OpenShield platform, website, browser extension, Gmail add-on, and all associated services.

By using OpenShield to report a domain, you confirm that you received the email in question and that the header evidence provided is genuine and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

We escalate reported domains through official abuse channels only - to domain owners, registrars, and hosting providers. We never launch attacks, send unsolicited messages, or take any illegal action against any system or individual.

Escrow contributions fund real legal action once payment processing is configured on the platform. A legal escrow pot only ever pays out the exact amount on a retained law firm's invoice, and only after administrator-verified proof of enforcement (such as a court order, registrar suspension notice, or similar documentation).

Abuse of the reporting or voting system - including falsified evidence, fraudulent reports, or coordinated manipulation - results in account suspension or permanent termination at our sole discretion.

You are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of any information you submit. You agree not to submit false, misleading, or defamatory information.

OpenShield is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the removal of any reported domain or the outcome of any legal action.
